Science
Science and technology have left their mark on our way of life and our environment and are among the most revealing examples of human ingenuity. Scientific discoveries and technological achievements affect major aspects of our existence. Computers, for example, have revolutionized the way we work and communicate, and even the way we think, and have become the principal tool for acquiring knowledge in many fields.
Science Lessons for All Levels
Elementary
Students will explore the world of science and technology by becoming familiar with ways of reasoning and doing things, learning how to use tools or to shape materials by means of simple procedures and becoming familiar with various aspects of languages used in science.
High School
Students will take a dynamic approach to the study of science and technology. To that end, it focuses on current issues to stimulate students’ curiosity and develop their interest in the scientific and technological phenomena that are often at the heart of issues.

- Conservation of matter
- Solid, liquid, gaseous state (e.g. evaporation)
- Magnets
- Temperature
- System involving the Earth, the moon, and the sun
Grade 7-11
Students will learn to seek answers or solutions to scientific or technological problems, as well as communicate these findings in the languages used in science. They will develop the ability to think critically about issues relating to science by engaging in learning situations that embrace different possible solutions. These are some of many materials covered.
